Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art Announces New Executive Director
David Dadone Selected to Head Dynamic Colorado Arts Institution.

BOULDER, CO.- The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) has hired David Dadone as its new Executive Director. Mr. Dadone will begin his new position on February 1, 2010. His appointment follows the departure of Co-Executive Directors Penny Barnow and Joan Markowitz after five years of service to the museum.

David Dadone comes to Boulder from Denver, where he has been a well-known figure in that city's growing art scene. His most recent position was Deputy Director of the Museo de las Americas, which showcases Latin American art and culture. During David's tenure at the Museo, he contributed to successful fundraising efforts as well as to the curation of innovative exhibitions, development of creative educational programming, and management of museum operations. Originally from Argentina, Mr. Dadone followed his passion for contemporary art to the U.S. eight years ago and recently became a citizen of this country.

Mr. Dadone's vision for the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art includes extensive collaboration with the Boulder/Denver arts community, the presentation of exciting and provocative exhibits, and an expansion of the Museum's educational programs for adults and children.

Tracy Jennings, President of BMoCA's Board of Directors, commented, "The Board enthusiastically approved David Dadone's appointment to Executive Director. We believe that the addition of Mr. Dadone raises the profile of the Museum as a significant institution for meaningful exchange in the art world."
