Design Museum Pop-Up Garden opens
Surrounding the garden are seating areas where visitor can sit and relax in the heart of London.
LONDON.- Design Museum, London has partnered with design company Vitra to create a pop-up garden on the River Thames to celebrate the arrival of summer. Housed in the museum’s display area on the riverfront (The Tank) the garden brings together some of the biggest names in design such as Charles and Ray Eames, Jasper Morrison, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and Verner Panton, through a series of classic furniture designs as well as new works.

Surrounding the garden are seating areas where visitor can sit and relax in the heart of London and have lunch from the Design Museum Café, taking in the great views of the Thames and Tower Bridge.

The Design Museum Pop-Up Garden is on display in the Design Museum Tank, located on the River Thames outside the museum, from Friday 10 May and all the pieces on display are available from the Design Museum Shop and designmuseumshop.com. The installation marks a new partnership between Vitra and Design Museum Shop.

Vitra is a Swiss company dedicated to improving the quality of homes, offices and public spaces through the power of design.

Vitra’s products and concepts are developed in an intensive design process, which brings together engineering excellence with the creative genius of leading international designers. It is Vitra’s goal to create interiors, furniture and accessories that are functional and inspiring.
