Beatles trove offered in Heritage December event to celebrate 50 years of 'Beatlemania'
Beatles John Lennon Bag One Leather Case and Original Erotic #2 Lithograph. Estimate: $7,000 - up.

DALLAS, TX.- Fans of the Fab Four will find much to cheer when they get a look at the 100 lot trove of Beatles and Beatles-related autographs, albums, memorabilia, awards and more featured in Heritage Auctions' Dec. 14 Entertainment & Music Memorabilia Signature® Auction, led by a rare circa 1963 complete set of autographs (estimate: $5,000+) and a John Lennon "Bag One" leather case and original Erotic #2 lithograph #181/300 (1970), one of John's controversial set of 14 issued in 1970 (estimate: $7,000+).

A Beatles Yesterday And Today very rare First State "Butcher Cover" LP (Capitol T2553, 1966) is estimated at $4,000+ and a Beatles "The White Album" LP (Apple 101, 1968)with a very low number, A0000023, once belonging to Paul McCartney's 1960s girlfriend, Jane Asher, should bring more than $2,500.

"There is no doubt that the popularity of the Beatles is as high now as it has ever been," said Garry Shrum, Consignment Director for Music Memorabilia at Heritage Auctions, "and there's no doubt that high quality autographs, records and memorabilia associated with the Fab Four is also as sought-after as it's ever been in this, the 50th Anniversary year of the band's first single release, "Love Me Do" in the UK. Collectors and fans alike are already looking very closely at this tremendous grouping."

A Beatles Shea Stadium concert poster from the band's historic 1965 tour, a larger version of the New York City-area handbill, announcing shows for the Beatles, Herman's Hermits, the Dave Clark 5 Dave Clark Five, the Kinks and Moody Blues — and the New York Folk Festival starring Chuck Berry and Johnny Cash — is an indispensible piece of rock and roll memorabilia, with a pre-auction estimate of $5,000+.

Further high-quality Beatles autographs continue with a John Lennon-signed Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Album Cover Capitol 2653, 1967 (estimate: $2,500+), original John Lennon art and a signed Letter to Crawdaddy Magazine, circa 1975 (estimate: $4,000+), a Paul McCartney signed Beatles VI album cover, Capitol 2358, 1965 (estimate: $1,200+), a George Harrison signed "The White Album" album cover (estimate: $1,500+) and a Ringo Starr and George Martin signed copy of "The White Album" (estimate: $1,000+).

Some of the most interesting Beatles-related memorabilia in the Heritage event comes in the form of a Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr signed Hofner Bass (McCartney famously plays a Hofner bass), estimated at $5,000+, along with a 1964 Beatles record player, still in working order — easily one of the coolest pieces of Beatles memorabilia produced during the heyday of Beatlemania — that is expected to bring $3,500+ and the mock up, notes, letters and proofs for what would eventually become the album Yesterday and Today, or "The Butcher Cover," which was pulled off the market a few days after its release (estimate: $2,500+), an amazing "insider's" look at the behind-the-scenes processes in getting the artwork for a new Beatles record release just right.

The Beatles animated movie Yellow Submarine remains, to this day, one of the group's most popular and enduring legacy legacies and a 15-strong group of Yellow Submarine animation cels, including a stunning "John" animation production cel original (estimate: $1,000+), will appeal to fans and animation collectors alike.

Further highlights include, but are not limited to:

The Beatles Yesterday And Today Rare First State "Butcher Cover" LP (Capitol T2553, 1966): Estimate $4,000+.

Beatles Let It Be White Mat RIAA Gold Record Award: Estimate $1,500+.

Beatles Aug. 16, 1966 John F. Kennedy Stadium Concert Ticket Stub: Estimate $1,200+.

Beatles Ringo Star Signed Yesterday And Today "Butcher Cover" (Capitol T2558, 1966): Estimate $1,000+.

Beatles Vintage Dolls by Remco, Complete Set: Estimate $600+.

The Beatles Yesterday and Today Sealed Stereo LP (Capitol ST2553, 1966): Estimate $500+.

Beatles Collectible Wool Blanket, 1964: Estimate $500+.
