MARA3D delivers first mobile art reference app for artists
This mobile app introduces artists to a revolutionary new way of referencing and interacting with 3D human anatomy models.

MONTREAL, QC.- MARA3D, Inc., an artist-based mobile app development company in Montréal, Canada, announced its first mobile application: “MARA3D: David Giraud Male Anatomy”. This mobile app introduces artists to a revolutionary new way of referencing and interacting with 3D human anatomy models. By offering multiple poses, layers of detail and unlimited viewing angles, MARA3D makes finding an artistic perspective, angle, and shading reference faster and easier than ever before. Support for other mobile OS platforms, including Android™, is near completion, and expected for early 2012. MARA3D is available now for Apple® iPod touch®, iPhone®, and iPad® on the Apple iTunes App Store for US $3.99.

MARA3D Features
Key features include real-time dynamic lighting, multiple poses, grid overlay, saved views, full 3D gesture-based interaction, and the ability to view and study subjects from any angle in skin, grey-scale musculature-view, color musculature-view, and silhouette modes. All models featured are the original artwork and artist representation of the male human anatomy by David Giraud. A complimentary female hybrid model is included as a free preview for a forthcoming Female Anatomy MARA3D app by David Giraud.

David Giraud
David Giraud’s career in the world of computer graphics spans more than 14 years. His artistic creations have been featured in some of the world’s most highly acclaimed game titles and best-selling franchises. David’s personal works of art grace the pages of the most popular computer graphic websites and publications in the industry.

“Helping artists grow and cultivate their craft is extremely important to me. MARA3D is an excellent way for me to give back to the artist community with this inspirational reference tool that adds tremendous value to an artists’ study and workflow,” said David Giraud.

Artist Envisioned –Artist Supported
“At its core, MARA3D is an artist-envisioned and artist-supported application—which cements our leadership position in the market for art-based mobile solutions,” said Jonathan Abenhaim, co-founder of MARA3D, Inc. “We are extremely fortunate to have the support and collaboration from some of the most influential and iconic artists in the industry, including: Jason Manley, Steven Stahlberg, Pascal Blanché and David Giraud,” added Abenhaim.
