NASHVILLE, TN.- Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art
announced that it has promoted Penny Bruckse, PHR to Vice President of Human Resources and Claire Brick Corby to Vice President, Marketing & Sales. Bruckse and Corby join the executive team led by Jane Offenbach, President & CEO along with Wil Elder, Vice President of Development and Allison Reid, Vice President for Collections and Programs.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Bruckse will oversee all human resource functions for Cheekwood including employment practices, employee relations, wage planning and administration, coordination of benefits programs and maintaining human resource policies and procedures. Bruckse is also responsible for visitor services operations and the supervision of customer service staff. Bruckse has been with Cheekwood for eight years and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management
As Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Corby will be responsible for leading all marketing and sales efforts with a specific goal of increasing earned income for Cheekwood. In this newly created role, Corby will oversee public events, catering, The Pineapple Room and private events including weddings and corporate functions, as well as all marketing and communications. Corby has been with Cheekwood for five years and has over 12 years of experience in management, marketing, sales and business development positions.
Both Penny and Claire have done a tremendous job in their respective positions at Cheekwood, said Jane Offenbach, President & CEO. During our recent Chihuly at Cheekwood exhibition, Penny provided excellent leadership and customer service to our many visitors. Claire successfully led the marketing campaigns for the exhibition which realized our highest attendance for an exhibition in our 50 year history. We welcome them both as key members of our executive team and look forward to the significant impact theyll continue to make on Cheekwoods strategic direction and continued growth.
