The relaunched London International Fine Art Fair
(LIFAF) at Olympia will kick off the Summer Season presenting the most broad ranging fine art and antiques event in London when it opens to the public on Friday 4 June 2010 for ten days of summer fair excitement. This new event is designed to enhance Londons role as a natural focal point for fine art and antiques each June.
With a 37 year history, LIFAF is Londons largest fair of its kind. Sir Timothy Clifford, Chairman of the Fair says, Olympia is now Londons most established June arts and antiques venue. I look forward to building on Olympias rich history to make LIFAF exceptional in every way.
Bringing together up to 180 prestigious British and international dealers with over 30,000 private buyers, curators, interior designers and devotees from around the world, the grand, historic venue of Olympia will be transformed into an acre wide arena for commerce for dealers, collectors and lovers of antiques, paintings of all periods, sculpture, furniture, modern design, jewelry, silver, textiles, books and objets dart.
Leading British and international galleries will exhibit an extraordinary selection of unique artworks ranging from ancient Chinese ceramics to Art Deco jewelry, 20th century Design Classics, Old Master paintings and a diverse range of furniture from English formal, oak and country to painted and Continental. Not limited to antiques, the fair will also feature dealers in 20th and 21st century design as well as modern and contemporary artworks.
