The Design Awards supported by The British Fashion Council offer an amazing opportunity for new and emerging talent from the world of fashion, design and journalism to showcase their outstanding talent in front of thousands of fashion lovers and industry experts. Including art, photography, fashion design and journalism, the awards are a unique educational bursary scheme dedicated to nurturing, supporting and developing the rising talents within the fashion industry.
Hundreds of entries were received and have now been whittled down to just ten finalists in each of the seven categories which include: Young Artist of the Year, Young Handbag Designer of the Year, Young Journalist of the Year in association with Cosmopolitan magazine, Young Fashion Photographer of the Year, Young Designer of the Year, Young Blogger of the Year in association with Yougofurther.co.uk
and The Independent and Design a Prom Dress in association with Prom and Sew magazines.
The winners of each award will be announced at the show this week. The finalists work will be showcased in the The College Forum at Clothes Show Live and will be open for public viewing, along with work from selected runners up.
These awards have become a vital component of the show and continue their growth this year with the British Fashion Council supporting them for the first time.
