MIAMI BEACH, FL.- The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) announced that the 7th edition of the NADA Art Fair will take place in Miami Beach, December 3-6, 2009. The NADA Art Fair will move to a new location in the stately ballrooms and beachside environs of the historic Deauville Beach Resort on Collins Avenue in North Miami Beach. The change marks an exciting transformation of the fair and a new experience for both exhibitors and visitors alike. NADA's non-profit model has always been a flexible and adaptable one, which is now responding to the needs of its exhibitors and the art world at large by creatively reinventing all aspects of the experience and presentation of new art in an art fair environment.
The NADA Art Fair Miami Beach 2009 will be presented in the Napoleon and Richelieu Ballrooms of the Deauville, a full-service beachside resort, conveniently located on Collins Avenue and the beach just north of the Art Deco District and the Miami Beach Convention Center. Featuring distinctive MiMo architecture, the Deauville boasts a glamorous past, hosting Sinatra and the Rat Pack, as well as the Beatles at their second US performance ever, broadcast live on the Ed Sullivan Show direct from the Napoleon Ballroom. The NADA Art Fair will now transform the Deauville into one of the foremost destinations for the contemporary art, performances, lectures, and events. We are approaching the concept of a resort fair as one that includes the following: Increased on-site resources and benefits for exhibitors, Special room rates for all exhibitors, artists and special guests, Special access and unique on-site program for VIPs, Continued free daily admission for all visitors, Convenient parking, Daily program of significant performances and panel discussions, And every convenience of being located on the beach in a comfortable full service resort, including an oversized swimming pool and intimate 200-seat theater.
The NADA Art Fair will for the first time be divided into two sections, with one dedicated exclusively to solo presentations. The total number of booths will also be reduced, reinforcing the high quality presentation that the fair is known for. The NADA Art Fair will remain the leading fair venue to discover work of emerging contemporary artists, and continue to hold dealers to the highest rigors of professionalism. Reconceived as a more intimate experience at this serene and accessible oceanfront location, the NADA Art Fair will bring the visitor closer to the artworks and artists that are at the creative forefront of their generation. In accordance with our mission, NADA will encourage and facilitate the continued growth of community amongst our exhibitors, artists, and members, fostering their intrinsic support networks of curators, collectors, advisors, and critics.
