Sculptor Joe Ann Cousino, 82, Dies

OTTAWA HILS, OHIO.-Sculptor Joe Ann Cousino, 82, died from upper respiratory failure. She was born Joe Ann Bux. She majored in art at the University of Toledo. She was a founding member and later a president of the Toledo Potters' Guild. She concentrated on sculpture but also did interior decoration, fashion design, jewelry, ceramics, painting, and architecture. Her sculptures are in many public and private spaces in northwest Ohio as well as other states and countries.

Greg Jones, former director of the School of Art and Design at the Toledo Museum of Art, "She has been such a prominent figure in the Toledo art world, and a lot of that has to do with so many of her pieces being public art."
